How To Make Your Fragrance Last Longer
One thing our customers always ask us here at Scentstore is which fragrance will last longer? Of course, we know there are different strengths from Eau de Toilette to Eau de Parfum, but did you know a fragrance’s longevity relies on other factors? Well, here at Scentstore we want nothing more than for you to enjoy your fragrance for as long as possible, so we’ve compiled some of our favourite tips and tricks so you can get the maximum enjoyment from your fragrance.
Moisturise
Keeping your skin moisturised is key to having your fragrance last longer throughout the day. Perfume thrives off of moisture and oils so if your fragrance isn’t lasting it may be that you have a drier skin type. We recommend using a fragrance free moisturiser straight after showering like the Cerave Moisturising Lotion that is gentle yet hydrating.
Fragrance Application
Many of our customers often complain about their fragrance not lasting and one of the first pieces of advice we give them is to let their fragrance air dry. When applying to your wrists never rub them together as it will break the fragrance down faster. If you are finding you still want a top-up throughout the day a travello is a great device to pop into your handbag as you can decant your favourite fragrance in small quantities as and when you need to.
Hair Mist
Adding fragrance to your hair can mean you leave a scent trail throughout the day. In recent years some fragrances also come in designated hair mists that allow you the spritz your hair without the damage that your normal fragrance may cause.
Perfumed Lotion
As well as hair mists some fragrances also have their own designated lotions. These lotions will carry the same scent as your fragrance therfore allowing your fragrance to last longer if layered. The added benefit is that although fragranced, the lotions will still add moisture to your skin.
