OPI Neo-Pearl Nail Polish Collection
OPI’s new collections are always exciting to hear about, the only negative is having to face the hard decision to choose which your favourites are, and which to purchase first- if not them all.
If you are an OPI fan like us at Scentstore, one of your favourite things about the collections is hearing what new quirky names they come up with, and you will not be disappointed with the interesting and catchy names of this collection.
As we expected due to the originality of this neutral palette, this unique limited edition Neo-pearl collection has been a complete sell out since we first received the lacquers in store.
The collection is of six soft pastels, featuring iridescent pinks, purples, blues, greens and nudes.
The pearl theme is very on trend for summer 2020, bringing together natural translucence and luminosity for a soft and modern update to the popular metallic nail trend.
As this collection leaves you wanting them all, below will describe the colours and review them to help you choose your favourites.
Shellabrate Good Times is a beautiful glistening pearl colour. Featuring a white shade with hints of a pale pink, the perfect match to a pearl shade. This can either be used on top of another nail lacquer to add a lovely metallic shimmer, or can be used on its own. I have found when using this that only two layers are needed for a full coated nail, which is very impressive for a lighter shade.
This is a limited edition ivory nail polish. This colour allows you to celebrate your inner luminosity, making you and your nails shimmer. This colour is a light mixture of copper, making it the warmest shade from the collection, ideal for summer. As this is a darker shade than Shellabrate good times, only one coat is needed, but if you want to have a stronger copper tone then I would recommend using two layers.
Shellmates forever is a light pink nail polish that is one shell-of-a-colour! Perfect if you are after a more feminine shade. This lacquer contains subtle lilac which turns pink in sunlight. Again, like the other colours in the collection, this pink is a buildable coverage
Although it is difficult to choose, this is one of our favourite and most inventive names OPI has come up with so far following their pearl/ocean theme. The colour of the year 2020- announced by pantone- is a classic blue, making this iridescent aqua shade very on trend and the perfect choice this summer
Two Pearls in a Pod features a gorgeous and unique pearly gunmetal green shade, with a subtle mixture of blue. Representing the ocean theme of the collection well. This is a buildable coverage that’s opulent but subtle, the first coat is quite sheer, but if you want a stronger green I would recommend applying a few coats.
