With Earth Day just around the corner, we wanted to showcase some of our favourite sustainable fragrance options. From sustainably sourced ingredients to refillable fragrances it’s a small but positive change in the right direction.

Thierry Mugler paved the way for refillable fragrances as one of the first companies to offer the option. Refills can be done at home or in-store as we have an Angel and Alien refill station. In a world where we are trying to reduce our carbon footprint, this is a fantastic idea if your staple fragrance happens to be a Mugler one. Lancome Idole EDP
Idole is a beautiful fragrance by Lancome which just so happens to be a part of their solidarity sourcing programme that ensures transparency and traceability in its supply chains. The programme also donates a portion of the profits to suppliers who then ensure those in underprivileged communities, and those usually excluded from the jobs market receive careers and a sustainable income. So when you make a purchase you can feel good knowing you’re helping those who need it most.

Georgio Armani My Way Intense
The extremely popular My Way Intense by Georgio Armani is another refillable fragrance. The refillable bottle Georgio Armani has created allows seamless at home refilling that reduces carbon emissions as well as plastic usage. The company is also committed to preserving some of the world’s forests including those in Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Peru and Brazil. Since the My Way launch, more than 14,000 hectares of forest have been preserved which is amazing news for future generations. My Way also favours the use of natural ingredients which directly benefit those in underprivileged communities including the vanilla which is sourced from Madagascar.

The Aqua Allegoria collection by Guerlain has many stunning fragrances that can be used on their own or can even be layered to create your own unique scent. Guerlain is 100% committed to helping our planet so with this collection, they decided to use ingredients composed of 95% natural origin. The beautiful glass bottle that showcases the fragrance was also created using 15% recycled glass and the alcohol used to make the fragrance is sourced from organic farms.
