4711 Original Eau de Cologne from the perfumery of Maurer & Wirtz is a pleasant and revitalizing unisex fragrance composed of top notes of orange oil, peach, basil, bergamot and lemon. The heart notes of cyclamen, lily, melon, jasmine and bulgarian rose give it a relaxing effect which strengthens the nerves. The base notes of patchouli, tahitian vetiver, musk, sandalwood, oakmoss and cedar have a further calming effect that promotes positivity. The most predominant note is floral citrus and the scent has a weaker longevity, as would be expected of any cologne.
